Wide Turks Head

The Turks Head makes a perfect decoration for your boat's tiller, tender oars or boat hook.

We supply the knot fully formed but loose, as in the top half of the picture. The knot can then be slid onto your tiller or where-ever it is to be tied and worked tight as in the bottom half of the picture. This process is very straight forward but we will happily give you guidence if you are not confident doing this.

We can tie the Turks Head in many different shapes and sizes and in any of our rope types and colours. For the knot to look good however, it's shape and form has to match the size of what it is being tied arround.

Please let us know the approximate diameter of what it will be tied arround when you order and we will use our experience to form the most suitable Turks Head for you.

The pictured Turks Head is a five bight, nineteen lead three ply knot tied in 4mm 8 Plait Matt Polyester. This is ideal for decorating the average wooden yacht tiller or tender oar.
